the coffee shop in Cesvine and serene green surroundings made it a perfect place to get away from city life. the common areas only added to the authenticity of the castle. the interior of my room was immaculate and cozy. the bathroom was modern and comfortable, and the friendly staff provided excellent service. the breakfast had a good variety and was tasty.

There was no restaurant or grocery store on-site, so I had to bring my own food or travel to nearby towns.

This hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Latvia offers a truly authentic and peaceful experience. Located in a beautifully restored manor house on the outskirts of Cesvaine, this hotel provides excellent value for money. The attention to detail is evident, from the comfortable rooms with better mattresses to the delicious breakfast served with a perfect view of the garden. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, with their friendly and helpful attitude. The hotel's location amidst unspoilt nature adds to its charm, making it a perfect getaway.

Everything was delightful, no improvements necessary.

Loved the authentic vibe of the place, it really felt like we were in a different era. The old-country decoration of the rooms was perfectly fitting to the rural surroundings. Stunning scenery that could be enjoyed from the balcony. The food has a great homemade feel to it, very tasty - they really do seem to put care into everything they make.

The location is a bit too secluded, difficult to reach without a car, and you have to drive quite a bit to find restaurants and shops. The bathroom could use some renovation or modernization, the fixtures were outdated and slightly uncomfortable to use at times.

the rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and beautiful decor. the surrounding green areas were well-maintained, and there were several sitting areas available.

The lack of on-site dining options was disappointing, and the breakfast on the second floor was underwhelming. the road leading to the hotel was quite bumpy, and some aspects of the hotel showed signs of wear and tear.
